So it fell,

Flake after flake,

It sat in layers,

Layer after Layer,

Underneath were the warm,

Underneath were the once alive,

Dreams, Hopes,

Dream after Dream,

Hope after Hope,

What we planted in spring,

In the sun, In the light

Now covered by coldness,

By frost and Ice.
